On the 26th of August Peter Wilson was again at Drawing Matter in London. This time to talk about drawing to a new batch of school leavers considering studying architecture. For such digital natives hand drawing is something mysterious, archaic. Rifling through the impressive Drawing Matter collection and discussing individual works by the Smithsons, Labrouste, Le Corbusier etc. with workshop tutors is an inspiring eye-opener. Peter spoke around BOLLES+WILSON drawings (conceptual from AA days) and also recent office projects as well as the ongoing status of drawing in the inception and construction of buildings and cities.
