Since January 2022 Prof. Julia B. Bolles-Wilson is the president of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and Arts (Akademie der Wissenschaften und Künste Nordrhein-Westfalen). She is the first woman to hold this position. The handover ceremony on 26^th of January took place in presence of the North-Rhine-Westphalia Minister Hendrik Wüst.

Julia B. Bolles-Wilson has been a member of the Academy’s Fine Arts class since 2008.
