30.9.15 LECTURES IN CHINA
On September 19th students at Shanghai’s Tongji University were treated to a double lecture. Invited by Professor Lu – Peter Wilson spoke on Libraries (BEIC Milan, Bibliotheque National de Luxemburg, City Library Münster) and art historian Gerd Blum (Professor at the Art Academy Münster) on Giorgio Vasari. Professor Blum related the passage dividing the two wings of the 1993 Münster Library to the iconic plan diagram of Vasari’s Ufizzi.
On 24th September Peter Wilson’s lecture at Shanghai’s Art Academy was based on the recent BOLLES+WILSON Moleskine publication – the subject was DRAWING = SEEING – hand drawing in a digital age.
Again at Tongji University students of Professor Lee Xiang Ning heard on 26th September a Lecture on recent B+W Projects.
Apart from these academic engagements Julia Bolles-Wilson and Peter Wilson were warmly received in the Hangshou studio of Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu.
When in Shanghai B+W recommend a visit to Robin Sun’s pop-up cafe at 121-2 Teiling Rd (Yangpu district).
