A cultural hub in Münster – city library / theatre / new concert hall + music / education facilities. This is the scenario for Hörsterplatz given form as three alternative designs by Peter Wilson (BOLLES+WILSON), Jan Kleihues (Kleihues+Kleihues) and Jo Coenen (NL).

The BOLLES+WILSON strategy is that city densification needs new typologies: the hybrid building – which can accommodate 100 apartments, a concert haal (1200 seats) and 300 parking places (UG). The hybrid building is a new figure for Münster’s skyline with a green copper roof analogous to the Cathedral and with 60 meters height lower than the tower of Lamberti church.
