24.4.15 EXHIBITION ON ALVIN BOYARSKY

The touring exhibition Drawing Ambience: Alvin Boyarsky and the Architectural Association is of drawings which once hung in the office of Alvin Boyarsky, Chairman of London’s AA school in the 1980s. They testify to the outpouring of architectural culture that Boyarski instigated and husbanded. Included in the exhibition selection are a number of early works by Peter Wilson – a bridge in Amsterdam, a pavilion in Northern Irland and collages from Wilson’s Villa Auto 1980 exhibition at the AA.

The exhibition is co-organized by the RISD Museum and the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, part of the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis; the exhibition was on view at the Kemper Art Museum in late 2014. At Rhode Island School of Design (RISD Museum) it will be on view from April 24 to August 2, 2015.
